The Pentland Hills

(20.1.2016) Scald Law and Carnethy Hill, Flotterstone, 13km, 4hrs,51min

Started at the Flotterstone car park, me, Graham & his mate Dave. Headed West up Turnhouse Hill & SW to Carnethy Hill 573m & Scald Law 579m. The snow was ankle deep at times. Me and Graham put on the crampons at the bealach before Scald Law to test the new winter boots. Also took a few bearings between the hills as visibility was only a few hundred feet. Headed back to the bealach, the old kirk road & descended North to the Howe. Headed back to Flotterstone NE by Loganlea & Glencorse Reservoir.
